Two Youths Arrested in Amritsar Flat Raid; AK-47 and Drugs Recovered in Joint Punjab–J&K Police Operation

In Amritsar’s Dream City Colony, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab police joined forces and scored a big success. Both police teams raided a flat and arrested two young men. According to sources, Jammu police had received important information about a wanted person.

Based on this, the Jammu police team reached Amritsar. During the raid, an AK-47 rifle, a pistol, and about 500 grams of narcotics were recovered from the flat. After the seizure, the police cordoned off the entire area and started the investigation.

Action taken based on inputs from Jammu Police

The arrested youths have been identified as Surajdeep Singh, resident of Sheikhpura, and Harpreet Singh, resident of Devidaspura. The police have also taken possession of both the accused’s vehicles. DSP Yadvinder Singh stated that this action was taken based on inputs from Jammu Police. He said that both youths are being interrogated and investigations are ongoing to identify other people connected to the case.

Local residents say that finding weapons and drugs in a residential area is a matter of concern. For now, the police are investigating the entire matter thoroughly. Officials say that several important revelations could come out during the questioning. The police are also trying to find out where the recovered weapons and drugs came from and what their intended use was.
