Udaipur Gang Rape Case: IT Firm CEO and Two Others Sent to Judicial Custody

Jaipur: A major update has emerged in the case of the gang rape of a female IT manager in Udaipur. Police have remanded three accused, including the CEO of the IT company, to judicial custody after the completion of their remand period. Officials stated that the investigation is progressing rapidly.

The incident occurred on the night of December 20th, when the woman was allegedly gang-raped in a moving car after a birthday party at a hotel. According to the complaint, the woman repeatedly pleaded to be let home, but the accused continued to drive her around in the car for nearly three hours and raped her.

Dashcam recordings may yield crucial information

Police stated that voice samples of all three accused have been taken and will be matched with audio recorded on the vehicle’s dashcam. Medical tests of the two male accused have also been completed, and their results will be compared with the victim’s medical report.

During the investigation, police recovered the victim’s clothes from the accused couple’s home, further strengthening the forensic evidence.

CCTV, Witnesses, and Route In-Depth Investigation

According to the statement recorded in the FIR, the woman was partying with her coworkers at a hotel. Police recorded statements from hotel staff to corroborate the party’s details.

A shopkeeper was also questioned, from where some smoking items were purchased after the party. Police also conducted a detailed investigation of the route, distance, and timeframe of that night.

The police team collected and analyzed multiple CCTV footage related to the incident. Two other female employees present at the party were also questioned to corroborate the initial information about the incident.

The accused were intoxicated, the victim’s pleas were ignored.

Preliminary findings of the investigation indicate that the accused were allegedly in an intoxicated state. They first sexually assaulted the victim in the car. When the woman protested and asked to be dropped home, her pleas were ignored. She was then repeatedly driven around the city and raped.

Upon receiving the complaint, the police immediately registered a case and arrested the accused to prevent them from tampering with the evidence.

Investigation continues, further evidence to be examined

Police officials say the investigation is ongoing.
Mobile phone data, digital evidence, and other forensic reports are being thoroughly examined.

Statements from more witnesses and relevant individuals will also be recorded.

The police have assured that an evidence-based investigation will be conducted to ensure justice for the victim and that no accused will be spared.
