UGC issues warning against fake institute in Rajasthan

Bhiwadi: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has declared the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management located in Bhiwadi, Alwar district, Rajasthan, a fake institute.

According to the Commission, the institute was awarding degrees in violation of the UGC Act 1956, and hence, it has been included in the official fake university list.

No recognition, degree invalid

UGC clarified that the institute is neither recognized under Section 2(f) nor declared a deemed university under Section 3.

As such, UG and PG degrees awarded here will not be considered valid and will not be accepted for government employment or higher education.

Students advised to be cautious

The Commission has advised students and parents to check the accreditation of the institution before taking admission.

UGC stated that enrolling in fake institutions can seriously impact students’ careers and future.

Crackdown on fake institutions continues

This action is part of the UGC’s ongoing campaign against fake universities. The Commission periodically updates the list of such institutions to protect students from fraud.
