Unfortunate news from Canada: Two youths from Punjab died due to drowning

A tragic incident has come to light from Canada, in which two youths from Punjab drowned in a canal in Montreal, Canada. The deceased have been identified as 26-year-old Lovepreet Singh, a resident of Tapa Mandi in Barnala district of Punjab, and the other youth is a resident of Butala village in Naurangpur of Amritsar Sahib district. However, his name has not been obtained.

It is being told that Lovepreet Singh’s friend suddenly slipped into the Lachin Canal in Montreal, Canada. As soon as the incident came to light, Lovepreet Singh jumped into the canal to save him. However, Lovepreet himself drowned in an attempt to save his friend.

When the Canadian authorities came to know about the incident, they were rescued and taken to the hospital, but by then both had died. This tragic incident has shaken Lovepreet Singh’s entire family. 26-year-old Lovepreet Singh was working as a trailer driver on a work permit for a company in Montreal, Canada.

Let us tell you that Lovepreet Singh, the only son of his parents, went to Canada after completing his 12th standard to fulfill his parents’ dreams. To send his son to Canada, ex-serviceman Balbir Singh sold two and a half acres of land and sent him to Canada in search of a job. However, his entire two and a half acres of land was sold, and his only son also died there.
