Unidentified Woman’s Body Found in Hisar Canal, Injury Marks Raise Suspicion

Kishangarh : The body of an unidentified woman was recovered from the Kishangarh Branch Canal near Kalirawan village in the Agroha division of Hisar district on Thursday evening. The woman is reported to be around 40 years old.

The farmer saw the body floating in the canal

According to reports, a farmer working in the field at around 5 pm saw the body floating in the canal. He immediately informed the Agroha police station. Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene and, with the help of villagers, retrieved the body.

Woman was wearing lowers and a T-shirt, injury marks on the body

The deceased woman was wearing lowers and a T-shirt. According to the police, some injury marks were also found on her body, making the case suspicious.

Body kept in mortuary, efforts to identify ongoing

Investigating officer of Agroha police station, ASI Neelam, stated that the body has been taken into custody and kept in the mortuary of Agroha Medical College for identification. Police are investigating missing persons reports filed in nearby police stations.

Revealed after postmortem

Police say that the exact cause of death will be known only after the woman’s identification and the postmortem report. The investigation into the case is currently ongoing.
