Rampage of Speed ​​in UP: Car Mows Down Motorcyclists; Two Dead

On Wednesday evening, a tragic road accident on UP’s National Highway-34 claimed the lives of two people, including a temple priest, at the scene, while two others sustained serious injuries. Following the accident, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the spot.

According to reports, Sachin, a resident of Rambada who worked as an accountant at a dairy located in Bazar Madhodas, stated that around 4:00 PM on Wednesday, he had gone with Pandit Rakesh, the priest of the Maneshwar Temple, to collect saplings for a plantation drive within the temple premises. While returning, near the Sirodhan intersection, a speeding Eeco car rammed violently into their motorcycle from behind.

Two Seriously Injured
The collision was so severe that both Sachin and the priest, Pandit Rakesh, died on the spot. The accident also caught Arif (a resident of Etah), who was standing nearby, as well as Pawan and his son (residents of Anupshahr), all of whom sustained serious injuries.

Injured Referred to Higher Center
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police rushed to the scene and transported everyone to the hospital. There, doctors pronounced Sachin and the priest dead, while the injured individuals were referred to a higher medical center after receiving preliminary treatment.

Driver Absconding
News of the incident plunged the families of the deceased into deep shock and distress. Kotwali In-charge Shailendra Pratap Singh confirmed that two people had lost their lives in the vehicular collision. The bodies have been taken into custody and sent for a post-mortem examination, while a search operation is underway to apprehend the absconding driver.
