UP: Pilibhit woman declared ‘Brain Dead’ by doctors, comes back to life by ‘Pothole’

A woman from Pilibhit city, declared brain dead by a Bareilly hospital, regained her breath after being jolted by a pothole. Her family was transporting her back home in an ambulance when the vehicle jolted due to a pothole.

During this time, the woman regained her breath, bringing renewed hope to the weeping family members. The woman was immediately admitted to a private hospital in the city. After approximately eight days of treatment, she has fully recovered.

Doctors had declared her brain dead
Vineeta Shukla, a resident of the city, works as a clerk in the district court. On February 22nd, her health suddenly deteriorated. She collapsed. Her husband, Kuldeep Shukla, reported that Vineeta was admitted to a private hospital in Bareilly. Doctors diagnosed her with respiratory failure and removed her from the ventilator on February 24th, declaring her brain dead. Her family was bringing her to Pilibhit.

Breath returned in a jolt
The wheel of an ambulance fell into a pothole near Hafizganj on the Pilibhit-Bareilly road. The shock caused Vinita to move and she regained her breath. Her family rushed her to a private hospital in the city, where a neurologist treated her. After about eight days, Vinita has recovered and returned home. Her husband, Kuldeep Shukla, said that the shock from the pothole restored her breathing. It was a miracle of God.

Family preparing for the funeral
Upon learning of her death at the hospital, they began preparing for the funeral. Kuldeep Shukla said that relatives from their ancestral home in Puwaiyan and other places had also come home.
