UP Weather Update: Rain and hail expected, providing relief from the heat

Noida: The weather in Uttar Pradesh is experiencing constant fluctuations. While some districts are experiencing bright sunshine, others are experiencing rain and hail accompanied by gusty winds. Thursday saw bright sunshine during the day, while light drizzle was recorded in several areas at night.

Impact of Western Disturbance
According to the Meteorological Department, the activation of a new Western Disturbance is likely to bring thunderstorms and light rain accompanied by strong winds to approximately 18 districts in western Uttar Pradesh, including Saharanpur, Shamli, Meerut, and Noida. Thunderstorms and hailstorms are also expected in these areas between Friday and Saturday. Hailstorms are possible in approximately 11 districts.

People troubled by rising temperatures
On Thursday, the scorching sun and intense heat made people miserable. The maximum temperature in Banda reached above 41 degrees Celsius. Prayagraj recorded a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius, Varanasi and Hamirpur 39.5 degrees Celsius, while Kanpur recorded a temperature of 39.2 degrees Celsius.

Alert in these districts
According to Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist at the Regional Meteorological Center, Lucknow, a spell of rain may begin in western Uttar Pradesh on Friday and reach eastern Uttar Pradesh by Saturday. Strong winds with speeds of 40 to 50 kmph and hailstorms are likely during this period.

Bagpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Bijnor, Amroha, Mahoba, Jhansi, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Lalitpur, and surrounding areas may experience inclement weather.
