US-Iran War Centered on Hormuz

Following the breakdown of the US-Iran ceasefire, both sides have been attacking each other on numerous issues, but the Strait of Hormuz has now become the epicenter of the conflict. In a major development, US President Donald Trump announced that the US will now assume control of the Strait of Hormuz, charging a fee in return. He declared that Iran will not be allowed to interfere in Hormuz at all. He stated that Iran will face the consequences of breaking the interim ceasefire agreement. “We will hit Iran hard now.” Meanwhile, the US launched its third major attack on Iran since the ceasefire broke. The intensity of US attacks and Iran’s retaliation is at its peak. Iran has refused to yield under any circumstances. Iran is firing missiles at Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and the UAE. Meanwhile, a Cyprus-flagged merchant ship was also attacked. Of the 11 Indian crew members on board, 10 have been rescued safely, but one is still missing. India, as in previous incidents, has strongly objected to this attack. It says that targeting merchant ships in this manner is unacceptable and such attacks must cease immediately. India’s advice is to reduce tensions and bitterness and resolve all issues through dialogue. Poland has strongly supported India’s stance. However, the bitterness continues to grow. On the one hand, Iran is attacking all countries where US military bases are located. There are calls for Trump’s assassination in Iran. On the other hand, the US, this time, seems determined to teach Iran a lesson. Everyone knows that countries cannot be wiped off the world map, but they certainly cause significant economic damage. The US Central Command has claimed that 300 targets in Iran have been attacked in three days. The Central Command also claims that these attacks have crippled Iran’s ability to blockade the Strait of Hormuz, but Iran claims that it has completely closed the Strait of Hormuz itself. It is well known that in wars, both truth and lies are used to show the upper hand. Only the containers stuck in Hormuz, which have been stranded for days, can tell what the truth is. Trump is declaring that the agreement is dead. US Secretary of State Hegseth says that Iran has taken the wrong path and must pay the price. In response, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf says that the era of unilateral agreements is over, and that the US will have to face the consequences of its arrogance. Even though security has been tightened in Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and the UAE, attacks continue unabated. It seems as if no one cares about these attacks and the devastation they cause. The ego clash has become so severe that the US President, despite fearing loss of popularity, is unwilling to step back. Nevertheless, the US must consider that the victorious image it seeks to win over the American public by projecting a victorious image and supporting Iran is still a long way off. But the world’s real concern is that if the war continues, the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz will lead to rising inflation in the coming days, making life even more difficult for the common man.
