US Prez Trump considering withdrawing out of NATO, calls it ‘Paper Tiger’

US President Donald Trump has stated that he is seriously considering withdrawing from NATO. He described NATO as a “paper tiger.”

In an interview, Trump remarked that he was never particularly impressed with NATO to begin with, and he believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin shared this view.

Trump asserted that the United States has always stood by its allies, yet this time, no one came forward to stand with the U.S. Citing the example of Ukraine, he noted that while the U.S. had assisted there, it is not currently receiving reciprocal support.

This statement comes in the wake of NATO nations refusing to back the United States in a potential conflict with Iran. The U.S. had sought for NATO members to dispatch warships to help keep the Strait of Hormuz open, but they declined to do so.
