Trains and flights are delayed

More than 50 trains are running late at various stations, including Gorakhpur, Lucknow, and Varanasi. Some are running as late as 10 hours. Furthermore, more than five flights arrived late at Lucknow, Gorakhpur, and Varanasi airports.

Schools up to 8th grade closed

In Lucknow, Kaushambi, Meerut, and Kanpur, schools up to 8th grade are closed until January 10th. Other classes will resume at 10 a.m. In Shahjahanpur, schools up to 12th grade are closed until January 14th, while in Mathura, Prayagraj, Bareilly, Ambedkarnagar, Kannauj, and Chandauli, they are closed until January 10th.

Dolphin dies of heart attack

A dolphin died in Rae Bareli. According to the postmortem report, all vital organs, including its liver and kidneys, were healthy. No external injuries were found on its body. The investigation revealed that the dolphin died of heart failure. However, the exact cause of the heart attack is not yet clear.

Mercury drops 4°C in Prayagraj division

Daytime temperatures dropped 4 degrees in Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, and Fatehpur in 24 hours. No significant changes occurred in the remaining districts. Nighttime temperatures dropped 2 to 4 degrees in Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, and Sambhal.
