Cold Wave and Dense Fog Grip Uttar Pradesh, Visibility Drops to Zero in Many Cities

Snowfall in the mountains and cold wave have further intensified the cold in Uttar Pradesh. Dew drops froze in snow in Ghazipur. Along with the fog, the cold has badly affected normal life.

Dense fog covers 35 cities

Dense fog enveloped 35 cities of the state, including Lucknow, Varanasi, Ayodhya and Gorakhpur, on Tuesday morning. Visibility dropped to zero in Agra, Prayagraj, Bareilly and Moradabad, due to which it became difficult to see even 10 meters ahead.

Weather forecast for the next two days

December 17: Dense fog in eastern and western Uttar Pradesh, visibility may reduce to 100 meters, cold wave likely.

December 18: Light fog in western Uttar Pradesh and dense fog in eastern Uttar Pradesh, visibility is likely to reduce to zero to 100 meters.

Administration appeal

The administration has appealed to the people to be careful during the fog, avoid unnecessary travel and maintain slow speed in fog lights and vehicles.
