Uttar Pradesh Transfers 35 IPS Officers In Major Police Reshuffle

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday ordered the transfer of 35 IPS officers in a major police reshuffle across the state. The changes involve officers from the 2014 to 2022 batches and include key postings in police commissionerates, districts and specialised police units.

Major IPS Transfers Across Police Commissionerates

Charu Nigam of the 2014 batch has been shifted from Superintendent of Police, UP-112 in Lucknow, to Commandant of the 47th Battalion of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) in Ghaziabad.

Shravan Kumar Singh has been transferred from Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Kanpur Nagar, to the same rank in Gautam Buddh Nagar.

Pramod Kumar has moved from DCP, Varanasi, to Superintendent of Police at Cyber Headquarters in Lucknow, while Ravi Shankar Nim has been shifted from Gautam Buddh Nagar to Commandant of the 2nd Battalion of the Special Security Force in Gorakhpur.

Atul Sharma-II has been posted as Superintendent of Police at Intelligence Headquarters in Lucknow after serving as DCP in Agra.

Sonam Kumar has been shifted from Agra to Prayagraj as DCP, while Ravindra Kumar moves from Kanpur Nagar to Agra in the same capacity. Neeraj Kumar Pandey has been transferred from Prayagraj to Superintendent of Police at Police Headquarters in Prayagraj.

Officers Shifted To CID, Intelligence And District Posts

Mamta Rani Chaudhary has been moved from Lucknow Commissionerate to Superintendent of Police in the CID at Lucknow. Mohd. Irfan Ansari has been transferred from Prayagraj Police Headquarters to CID Headquarters in Lucknow.

Saad Miya Khan and Syed Ali Abbas have exchanged postings between Gautam Buddh Nagar and Agra.

Shruti Srivastava has been shifted from Varanasi to Prayagraj as Additional DCP. Vikram Dahiya has moved from Pilibhit to Chandauli as Additional Superintendent of Police, while Ayush Srivastava has been transferred from Jaunpur to Unnao as City Superintendent of Police.

Rajesh Gunawat has been promoted and posted as Additional DCP in Varanasi. Anant Chandrashekhar has moved from Chandauli to Jaunpur as City Superintendent of Police.

2022 Batch, SPS Officers Also Reassigned

Among the 2022 batch officers, Devesh Chaturvedi has been transferred from Ayodhya to Ambedkar Nagar as Additional Superintendent of Police, while Vivek Tiwari moves from Kheri to Barabanki and Sumit Sudhakar Ramteke from Kanpur Nagar to Sambhal.

Ariba Noman has been posted as Additional DCP in Kanpur Nagar, Manoj Kumar Yadav to Agra in the same rank and Rijul to Ghaziabad.

Gautam Rai has been shifted to the rural charge in Bijnor, while Mavis Talk has moved from Banda to Sonbhadra.

Several State Police Service (SPS) officers have also been reassigned. Jitendra Kumar Srivastava has been transferred to Lucknow Commissionerate, Kapil Dev Singh to Traffic Headquarters in Lucknow, Gyanendra Nath Prasad to Agra and Balwant Kumar Chaudhary to Ghaziabad.

Abhay Nath Tripathi has been moved to Kanpur Nagar, Harendra Kumar to Agra, Rajesh Kumar Pandey to Varanasi and Harendra Pratap Yadav to UP-112 in Lucknow.

Kuldeep Singh has been transferred to the 43rd Battalion PAC in Etah, while Vineet Bhatnagar has been posted to Varanasi.

The transferred officers have been directed to join their new assignments at the earliest.
