CM Dhami directs the administration
Chief Minister Dhami directed the district administration to expedite rescue operations upon receiving information about the incident. The Chief Minister himself is in touch with officials and monitoring the situation. The SDRF team has reached Nandprayag. NDRF and SDRF teams are working to rescue people trapped in the debris and search for missing individuals. Heavy rain has caused extensive damage to the entire area.
Meteorological Department Issues Heavy Rain Alert
Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rain, thunderstorms, and storms in Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri Garhwal, Tehri Garhwal, Ghansali, Shivpuri, Devprayag, Rishikesh, Chamba, Mussoorie, and Dhanaulti.
