Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today gave his approval to a hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) by three percent, increasing it to 63 percent from the previous 60 percent from July 1, 2026.

As per the statement issued by Chief Minister’s Office, the decision has been taken to align the DA of government employees of Uttarakhand with the latest revision of DA announced by the Central Government for its employees under the 7th Pay Commission.

This will also benefit employees working with local bodies, aided educational institutions, state universities, technical educational institutions and those receiving salaries under University Grants Commission (UGC).

Upon approval by the Chief Minister, eligible employees will receive DA arrears from July 1, 2026, to October 31, 2026.

DA will be increased to 63 percent from July 1, 2026.

This comes after the Central Government announced a similar hike.
