Vaibhav Sooryavanshi loses cool after thrilling defeat, clashes with rival players

New Delhi: India A lost the Super Over against Sri Lanka A in Dambulla on Monday, June 15th. Immediately after the match ended, a heated exchange took place between young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi and the Sri Lankan players.

India A needed 8 runs to win off the last ball of the Super Over, but Sri Lanka A bowler Kugathas Mathulan delivered a brilliant yorker to give his team the victory.

Heated altercation on the field

After the victory, Sri Lanka A players began celebrating. During this, Suryavanshi appeared upset over something and got into an argument with the opposing players. According to reports, the argument escalated to the point where Suryavanshi even pushed a Sri Lankan player.

However, the real reason for the altercation is still unclear. It is believed that he objected to the opposing team’s celebrations or comments.

Seeing the situation escalate, wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwella intervened to calm both sides. Suryavanshi appeared quite upset during the post-match handshake. His teammates later calmed him down and he returned to the pavilion.
