Jalandhar: A major development has emerged in the death case of international bodybuilder and actor Varinder Singh Ghuman. According to a medical report, his death has been attributed to alleged hospital negligence.

Family members have announced that they will soon hold a press conference and pursue legal action. A formal complaint has been submitted to the Amritsar Police Commissioner, following which a medical board was constituted to investigate the matter.

Passed Away During Surgery at Fortis Hospital

The 42-year-old bodybuilder passed away on October 9, 2025, at Fortis Hospital Amritsar.

He had been admitted for treatment of a shoulder injury and was undergoing arthroscopic rotator cuff repair surgery. Hospital authorities had earlier stated that he died due to cardiac arrhythmia at around 3:35 pm during the procedure.

Initial information suggested that he suffered a heart attack after the operation.

Family Alleges Medical Negligence

Following his death, family members and supporters accused the hospital administration of negligence. They claimed that proper care was not provided during the surgery.

In response, the hospital issued a medical statement explaining the circumstances surrounding his death. However, the family remains dissatisfied and has demanded justice.

After the complaint was filed on October 17, 2025, authorities formed a medical board to examine the case in detail.
