Vijay calls DMK ‘destructive power’ at Erode rally, says TVK force of purity

Vijayamangalam: At a massive rally in Vijayamangalam, Erode, TVK leader Vijay criticized the ruling DMK, calling it a “destructive force” and vowing to challenge the government in the 2026 assembly elections. He accused the DMK of corruption and exposed attempts to stall his party’s growth, stating that only the TVK has the strength and clarity to challenge this administration.

Connecting with the People and Issue-Driven Politics
Addressing thousands of supporters, Vijay spoke of his emotional connection with the people, which began early in his cinematic career. He stated that the TVK would only challenge active electoral opponents and that its politics would be based on issues, not personal rivalries.

Tribute to Tamil icons and a glimpse of the rally
Vijay recalled social reformers Periyar, Anna, and MGR as sources of inspiration for TVK’s policies and said their names should not be misused for personal gain. The rally, held across a 16-acre site, featured enthusiastic supporters, yellow flags, and rousing slogans, highlighting TVK’s strength and plans to establish a strong political presence in western Tamil Nadu.
