March 4, 2025

Mumbai: Comedian Vir Das recently shared a humorous take on Indian award shows, pointing out their long list of sponsors. Without naming any specific event, Vir remarked on how major international awards often feature stand-up comedians as hosts — something rarely seen in India. He joked that Indian award show monologues would be difficult to deliver after listing numerous sponsors like “Manikchand Pan Pasand Fun Flips Zorro Plus Zandu Bandu MDH MCD Motorola Parivar.”
