Western disturbance is becoming active in Himachal Pradesh from tonight. Due to this, there are chances of rain in the mountains for the next four days.

The Meteorological Department on Sunday issued an alert of heat wave in some areas of Punjab and rain and strong winds in some areas.

The effect of heatwave has started reducing in many states of the country. The temperature has started coming down due to pre-monsoon rain.

There was also a drizzle with strong winds in the Bawal area and near by places like Gurugram.

More than 320 people have died in the last four days due to heat and heatstroke in the country. In the last three days, Uttar Pradesh has lost the most number of lives, around 100.

People have got some relief due to the western disturbance becoming active in Punjab. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of rain and strong winds in Punjab today.
