Scorching heat wave will bother-Meteorological Department issued red alert, Coming Days Temperature Notches Likely to be 48 degree

Chandigarh: The scorching heat wave will bother in the coming days. Temperature will rise 46 to 48 degree Celsius in Punjab. In this regard Meteorological Department has issued a red alert. This alert has been issued in 4 districts of Punjab. Punjab Malwa belts Fazilka, Muktsar, Bathinda and Mansa temperature have been recorded the highest.

Chandigarh: The scorching heat wave will bother in the coming days. Temperature will rise 46 to 48 degree Celsius in Punjab. In this regard Meteorological Department has issued a red alert. This alert has been issued in 4 districts of Punjab.

Punjab Malwa belts Fazilka, Muktsar, Bathinda and Mansa temperature have been recorded the highest for the last three days. On Tuesday evening, Bathinda once again recorded the highest temperature in the state at 46.6 degrees.

According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in the cities of Punjab will reach 48 degrees on May 25. If this happens then the record of the last 46 years will be broken. Maximum temperature of 47.7 degrees noted on May 21, 1978, 46 years ago.

Metrological Department also issued orange alert in seven districts i.e. Amritsar, Tarntaran, Ferozpur, Moga, Faridkot, Barnala And Sangrur of Punjab.

 IMD scientist Naresh Kumar said, “Temperatures are currently above normal across North West India and we had issued a red alert for the region over the past 2-3 days.

With regard to a state-wise forecast, we have issued a red alert in Rajasthan for the next five days. The maximum temperature is likely to inch further up from 45°C and settle at 47°C.”
“In Punjab and Haryana, maximum temperatures have registered a marginal drop due to a prevailing western disturbance but they will increase gradually hereafter by 2 to 3 degrees. we have already issued a ‘red alert’ for these two states.
