UP: Signs of change in weather after Holi, maximum temperature to increase by three degrees

After Holi, the heat will begin to show its effect in Uttar Pradesh. According to meteorologists, temperatures are expected to rise by up to three degrees Celsius. The intense sunshine will intensify the heat.

On Wednesday, most parts of the state experienced bright sunshine throughout the day. Dry westerly winds further intensified the heat. According to the Meteorological Department, these winds reached speeds of 30 to 35 kilometers per hour, maintaining a dry atmosphere.

Similarly, temperatures continued to rise on Tuesday. Jhansi was the hottest district in the state, recording a maximum temperature of 34.8 degrees Celsius.

Fatehpur, Varanasi, and Agra also reached temperatures above 33 degrees Celsius. The afternoon sun remained intense in several districts, including the capital Lucknow, causing people to suffer from the heat.

According to Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist at the Regional Meteorological Center, Lucknow, the speed of the westerly winds will decrease. However, there are indications that the maximum temperature will increase by about 3 degrees Celsius over the next three to four days. Consequently, the heat is likely to intensify in the coming days.
