Weather to change in UP, alert for rain and strong winds for 3 days

Lucknow: Due to the impact of a western disturbance, the weather is set to change once again in many districts of Uttar Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, rain accompanied by strong winds is expected in the state from April 3 to April 5. Hailstorms are also possible in many areas during this period. Wind speeds can reach 50 to 70 kilometers per hour.

Thunderstorm and rain alert in eastern and western Uttar Pradesh
According to the Meteorological Department, thunderstorms and rain are likely in the districts of western Uttar Pradesh on April 3 and 4. Meanwhile, the weather in eastern Uttar Pradesh (Purvanchal) will be inclement on April 4 and 5. A warning has been issued for rain and hailstorms accompanied by strong winds in many areas during this period.

Strong winds may increase farmers’ concerns
According to the Meteorological Department, winds in western Uttar Pradesh are expected to reach 50-60 km/h on April 4th and 5th, gusting up to 70 km/h in some places. The storm and rain could cause problems for farmers harvesting and threshing wheat.

Rain and hailstorms likely in these districts
From Friday to Sunday, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Etah, Kasganj, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sultanpur, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Sant Ravi Das Nagar, Farrukhabad, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun, and surrounding areas may experience rain and thunderstorms. Hailstorms are also possible at some locations.

Rain was also recorded in several districts of the state on Tuesday. Hailstorms were also reported in some areas, including Jaunpur and Prayagraj. The capital, Lucknow, recorded a maximum temperature of 37.3 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 23 degrees Celsius. The weather is currently expected to remain dry in the state today.
