Weather Takes a Turn Amidst ‘Nautapa’; Dust Storm followed by rain hits Delhi-NCR

Amidst the ‘Nautapa’ period, the weather across the entire NCR—including Delhi—took a sudden turn on Saturday afternoon. A dust storm has begun in Gurugram, with strong winds sweeping through the city at speeds ranging from 40 to 80 km/h. Additionally, clouds have gathered over the skies of Noida, and rainfall has commenced.

Rain Alert for Two Days
Issuing a warning on Friday, the Meteorological Department stated that light rainfall and overcast skies would persist for the next two days. Consequently, a ‘Yellow Alert’ was issued. Over the coming two days, temperatures are expected to hover between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, on Friday morning, the minimum temperature was recorded at 25.3 degrees Celsius—a drop of 4.3 degrees compared to the previous 24 hours. This marks the first time in approximately 12 days that the temperature has dipped to such a low level.

Mercury Set to Rise Above 40°C Again by June 4
The Meteorological Department has forecast the possibility of light rainfall over the next two days. However, the skies are expected to clear up after June 1. Concurrently, temperatures are projected to rise; it is estimated that by June 4, the mercury could reach a range of 40 to 42 degrees Celsius.
