Relationships on the decline

In this materialistic age, news of insensitivity and the destruction of relationships is seen and heard daily. One such story comes from Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. Central and state-level PCS employees are considered to be intelligent and are expected to contribute to nation-building. But in this country, where news of sons even murdering their parents for wealth and property is common, it seems as if relationships have also been tarnished in this era.

This story from Hapur is about Munesh Rani, the distraught mother of a senior PCS officer, Seema Chaudhary, who was posted as the District Supply Officer. The matter is that Munesh Rani, a resident of Saharanpur, has filed a case against her daughter, District Supply Officer Seema Chaudhary, alleging that she has attempted to illegally occupy her land. We hear about sons, but now, in this era of women’s empowerment, daughters are also doing the same. The mother has filed a petition alleging that her daughter, in collusion with four others, prepared a fake receipt and forged her signature to usurp her land. When handwriting experts confirmed the fraudulent receipts, she threatened to kill her mother if she objected. Furthermore, the daughter, using her job and high position to gain ill-gotten gains, deposited millions of rupees into her mother’s bank account without her knowledge.

This was possible because she operated her bank account using her email address and withheld information about transactions. The mother alleges that her daughter deposited 15 lakh rupees into her account and failed to disclose any information. A case has now been registered on the orders of the Director General of Police (DGP). The investigating officer says that an investigation will be conducted based on the evidence and action will be taken. Meanwhile, her daughter, Seema Chaudhary, maintains that the case is fake and she is unaware of the report. She has a good relationship with her mother. This is just a daughter’s story. Forgery has become commonplace.

If a pensioner dies and you don’t report their death, their pension continues to arrive every month. People withdraw money from pension schemes and even schemes like MNREGA by making fake entries. Times have changed so much that no one’s conscience even bothers them when taking such a step. The most talked-about case in the country today is the Ketan Agarwal murder case. Siya Goyal is accused of killing her millionaire fiancé, Ketan Agarwal, along with her lover, Chetan Chaudhary, by pushing him off the hill of Lohagarh Fort. The outcome of the case is that now the two lovers are blaming each other for the murder. The police are going to conduct a polygraphic test on them.

Observe their courage: both have agreed to undergo a polygraphic test. Despite all this, when the police brought the accused Siya Goyal to her home in Market Yard, Pune, for investigation, she made an obscene gesture at the media personnel on her way back, which could be considered objectionable in legal terms. Newspapers are filled with such inhumane stories every day, but how can we expect these stories to be ignored by saying, “It’s okay”?
