As many times as I go,
and as many times as I return,
I realise — it’s never enough.
There is something so profoundly anchoring in the Himalayas —
something that silences every chaos within.
Each time I leave, a part of me stays behind,
left there in quiet surrender,
in search of the Lord.
The vibrations, the air, the sanctity of those mountains —
they call me back again and again.
It doesn’t feel like travel anymore;
it feels like homecoming.
My heart belongs there.
Perhaps that’s why the world outside feels weightless —
as if I’m here, yet not entirely here.
I move through life, but a part of me still lingers
on those winding paths of Badrinath and Kedarnath,
where every gust of wind feels like divine breath.
At times, my anxiety rises
when I see others walking those sacred paths —
standing before Kedarnath,
breathing that energy I ache to feel again.
I want to be there — right now —
not just physically, but emotionally, mentally, spiritually.
To travel not across land, but within consciousness.
The Himalayas have a strange way of humbling the ego.
They don’t just test endurance;
they dissolve the self that seeks.
Up there, the silence isn’t empty — it is eloquent.
It speaks in the language of the soul,
where every sound, every breeze, every pebble
vibrates with the presence of the Divine.
And as I walk through those high valleys,
I understand why sages called this land Deva Bhumi —
the Abode of Gods.
It’s not merely a geography; it’s a state of grace.
So many times i feel the echoes from Kedar Khand
“In Kedarkhand, the Lord Himself resides in the form of Jyotirlinga.
Whosoever beholds Him with a pure heart, attains liberation even while living.”
(Skanda Purana, Kedar Khand 25:35)
“The mere thought of Kedarnath sanctifies the mind;
the mere journey towards Him redeems generations.”
(Kedar Khand 27:12)
“Those who dwell in the land of snow,
even for a few days,
attain the merit that sages earn through lifetimes of penance.”
(Kedar Khand 31:18)
In the silence of Kedarnath,
I don’t just find peace — I find presence.
The journey no longer feels like an ascent to a temple;
it feels like a descent into the self.
Perhaps that is why,
no matter how many times I go,
it is never enough.
Because each journey peels another layer of illusion,
bringing me closer — not to the mountains —
but to the Divine that lives within them,
and within me.
