When Snow Falls in Doda

Doda, the name of a hills district of Jammu and Kashmir has transformed into a paradise misplaced on the earth. The beauty starts shining in the plains and fresh snowfall in the upper reaches of Bhalesa. With the skies emerge clean in the morning and the mountains of Bhalesa again shines presenting a breathtaking scene for tourists from the country and abroad. The combination of rain-soaked greenery in the lower areas and snow-capped peaks in the higher reaches creates a picturesque landscape.

The region witnesses the stunning views, capturing the beauty of the mountains after the overnight weather activity. Doda begins receiving heavy snowfall from even in january, after a prolonged dry spell.

As the snow blanketed the entire region, people express a sense of significant relief and happiness at the much-awaited snowfall. Around one foot of snow is seen in the plains, while the upper hilly regions receive nearly 2 to 3 feet of snowfall.

But the snowfall at times led to the disruption of air travel, with Srinagar Airport and IndiGo Airlines are forced to suspend flights.
