Woman ASP Crushed to death by Truck in Ludhiana; Fell from Bike After Collision

In the Hambran area near Ludhiana, a female government employee who fell off a motorcycle onto the road was crushed by a truck approaching from behind. The employee died on the spot as a result of the incident. The deceased has been identified as Ravita (51). She was a resident of Bahadurke Road in Ludhiana.

She was riding on a motorcycle with a colleague. While traveling along the road, a pedestrian attempting to cross the street collided with their bike; Ravita fell onto the road, and a truck approaching from behind ran over and crushed her skull.

Ravita was serving as an Assistant Superintendent of Post (ASP) at the Jagraon Post Office. According to reports, Ravita was a widow; her husband had passed away approximately 10 years ago. She had been raising her only child—a daughter, now around 25 years old—single-handedly. Following this tragedy, the daughter has lost the protective presence of her mother.

Ravita Was Riding with a Colleague

According to reports, the accident occurred while Ravita was traveling to Jagraon for duty on a motorcycle with a fellow employee, Akashdeep Singh. Akashdeep Singh is posted at the Sidhwan Bet Post Office.

As the pair traveled from Ludhiana toward Sidhwan Bet and reached the area in front of the HDFC Bank in Hambran, a man suddenly ran out to cross the road. The man collided directly with the motorcycle. Due to this sudden impact, the bike lost its balance, and Ravita, who was seated behind the rider, fell directly onto the road.

At that very moment, a speeding truck (bearing registration number HR62-5787) approaching from behind ran over and brutally crushed Ravita as she lay on the road. The accident was so horrific that Ravita succumbed to her injuries on the spot.
