Woman in Hyderabad kills herself along with children

A 29-year-old woman in Hyderabad killed her two sons and then committed suicide. According to police, a long-standing family dispute is believed to be the reason behind the incident.

The deceased have been identified as S. Banoth Sravanthi (29) and her two sons, Karthik (12) and Kaushik (10).

Tension due to husband’s second marriage
Police investigation revealed that Sravanthi was married to Boda Praveen about 13 years ago. It is alleged that after Praveen’s second marriage, there were frequent disputes between the couple.

Due to frequent quarrels, Sravanthi had gone to her parents’ home in Warangal with her children. She recently returned to Hyderabad after her family persuaded her.

Bodies of three found inside the house
When Praveen returned home from work on Tuesday afternoon, he found the door locked from inside. After much effort, he broke it down with the help of neighbors.

Shravanti and the two children were found dead inside. Police arrived at the scene upon receiving information and the bodies were sent for a postmortem.

Police investigation underway
Preliminary investigations have suggested suicide by the woman, while the cause of the children’s death will be revealed after the postmortem report.

Police have said they have registered a case of abetment to suicide against the husband, and a thorough investigation is underway.
