X Faces Brief Outage, Services Restored Within an Hour

New Delhi: X (formerly Twitter) experienced a brief outage on Thursday, affecting thousands of users before services were restored within an hour.

According to Downdetector, around 562 users had reported issues by 12:40 pm. Many users complained that the platform was not loading properly or that feeds were failing to refresh.

Users Face Feed and Loading Problems

X, a microblogging platform that allows users to share short posts, is accessible across smartphones, including iPhone and Android devices, as well as desktop systems.

During the outage, users reported difficulty accessing timelines and refreshing content, disrupting normal usage for a short period.

Similar Outages Reported Earlier

This is not the first disruption faced by the platform this year. In March, a major global outage impacted users in India, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

During that incident, Downdetector recorded over 4,700 complaints in India within a short span, while more than 27,000 reports came from the US and over 4,300 from the UK. Users had encountered errors like “Something went wrong” while trying to refresh feeds.

A similar outage in February had also triggered over 42,000 reports worldwide, indicating recurring technical issues.

Cause Still Unknown, No Official Response

The reason behind the latest outage on March 26 remains unclear. There has been no immediate response from X or its owner Elon Musk regarding the disruption.

Despite the brief glitch, services were restored quickly, allowing users to resume normal activity on the platform.
