Yamunanagar: Two members of Noni Rana gang arrested by CIA, two pistols recovered

Two members of the Noni Rana gang were arrested by a CIA-2 team late on November 18th near Bhambhouli on the Panchkula-Saharanpur Highway. The two criminals were riding a bike without a number plate outside a dhaba. Upon searching them, a pistol and six rounds were recovered.

They were identified as Swastik Mehra alias Sahil of Bank Colony and Vivek alias Abhishek alias Beku of Friends Colony. They have been named by the Chhapar police and will now be produced in court for remand.

In a complaint to the Chhapar police, Yogesh Kumar of CIA-2 stated that on the evening of November 18th, intelligence was received that Swastik Mehra alias Sahil of Bank Colony and Vivek, alias Abhishe,k alias Beku of Friends Colony, associated with the Noni Rana gang, were present near Bhambhouli on the Panchkula-Saharanpur Highway. They have been involved in various criminal activities and are now roaming around with illegal weapons on a bike without a number plate, intending to commit other crimes.

Acting on the information, the team arrived at the scene and apprehended both of them. During a search, Abhishek was found with a pistol loaded with four rounds. Swastik also recovered a pistol loaded with one round. Another round was found in Swastik’s lower pocket. During interrogation, both revealed their affiliation with the Noni Rana gang. It’s known that Noni Rana has been implicated in cases of extortion and threatening calls to businessmen.

It has come to light that Noni Rana operates his network through social media while based abroad, with several members directly or indirectly connected to his gang. With their help, reports have emerged that Noni Rana orchestrated incidents like firing when he failed to receive extortion money.
