Yash’s ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups’ Reportedly Gets ‘A’ Certificate, 3-Hour Runtime

Bengaluru: If industry sources are to be believed, director Geetu Mohandas’ much-awaited pan-India action film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups’, starring Yash in the lead, has been cleared by the Censor Board with an ‘A’ certificate.

However, there has been no official confirmation from the filmmakers regarding the certification or runtime so far.

‘Toxic’ reportedly gets 3-hour, 14-minute runtime

According to industry sources, the version cleared by the Censor Board has a runtime of three hours and 14 minutes.

The sources also claim that the story of the film is set in Goa. However, these details have not yet been officially confirmed by the makers.

The film has generated considerable buzz among fans and film enthusiasts, particularly after the release of its trailer.

‘Toxic’ features an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi.

The trailer suggests that the film revolves around the complex relationship between Raya and his son, Ticket, alongside a web of relationships and rivalries.

It also offered glimpses into the characters played by the female leads but did not reveal much about the overall storyline, instead presenting a world where “chaos meets chaos”.

Nayanthara, who plays a pivotal role in the film, had earlier raised expectations by saying at the trailer launch that the movie would blow audiences’ minds.

‘Toxic’ to release on August 26

Originally scheduled for release in March, ‘Toxic’ was later pushed to June, with uncertainty in the Middle East cited as a reason.

The film is now slated to hit theatres on August 26, 2026.

Shot simultaneously in English and Kannada, the film will also be released in dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
