Pune: Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has been discharged from Aditya Birla Hospital in Pune and sent home. Doctors have advised him to rest for 8 to 10 days.
The 23-year-old Jaiswal was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday after complaining of stomach pain during a Mushtaq Ali Trophy Super League match. Jaiswal scored 15 runs off 16 balls. Mumbai won the match by 3 wickets, but the team was later eliminated from the tournament.
Century against Haryana
Four days earlier, Yashasvi Jaiswal had played a brilliant innings of 101 runs off 50 balls against Haryana in the Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He hit 16 fours and 1 six in that innings. Mumbai chased down the target of 235 runs in 17.3 overs, losing only 6 wickets.
Not included in T20 squad
Jaiswal has not been included in the Indian squad for the ongoing T20 series against South Africa. India is leading the five-match series 4-1. The fifth and final match of the series will be played in Ahmedabad on December 19.
