Yellow Alert Issued in Haryana: Mercury expected to Reach 44 Degrees

The Meteorological Department has advised the public to be prepared to endure intense heat over the next five days. A ‘Yellow Alert’ has been issued for the state, remaining in effect until April 24. Maximum temperatures are expected to reach up to 44 degrees Celsius.

There is also a possibility of heatwaves occurring during this period. However, some relief may be expected during the last three days of the month due to the activation of a Western Disturbance.

According to weather expert Dr. Chandramohan, night-time temperatures are currently being recorded at levels higher than normal. In Rohtak, the night temperature stood at 26 degrees Celsius, 5.9 degrees higher than the normal average.

Temperatures of 25.7 degrees in Mahendragarh and 24.4 degrees in Ambala were recorded, exceeding their respective normal averages by 5.8 degrees and 4.4 degrees. Mahendragarh recorded a temperature of 42 degrees Celsius, which was 4.5 degrees higher than normal.

Temperatures of 41.6 degrees in Rohtak, 40.5 degrees in Bhiwani, and 39.6 degrees in Hisar were also recorded. Dr. Chandramohan stated that the weather is expected to remain clear and dry until April 24, with a likelihood of heatwaves occurring during this time.
