Yogi targets Congress-AIUDF, vows strict action

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a strong political attack on the Congress and the All-India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) during a rally in Assam. Addressing a public gathering, he accused both parties of damaging the state’s cultural identity and promoting policies that, according to him, do not align with the interests of the local population.

He alleged that during their time in power, these parties failed to safeguard Assam’s traditions and allowed developments that affected the social and cultural balance of the state.

During his speech, Adityanath said that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is committed to taking strict action against activities he described as harmful to society. He asserted that such issues would be dealt with firmly to ensure law and order and to protect public interests.

He also emphasised that the government would take all necessary steps to prevent illegal activities and ensure that resources and land are used in a lawful and regulated manner.

Adityanath highlighted the importance of preserving Assam’s cultural heritage while continuing the pace of development. He said that the BJP government has worked towards improving infrastructure, boosting economic growth, and safeguarding local traditions.

He added that development and cultural preservation should go hand in hand and that the government is committed to achieving both objectives simultaneously.
