Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will review development works in Saharanpur today. According to the scheduled itinerary, the Chief Minister will arrive at Nagla Maafi village in the Shakumbhari region at 2:25 PM, where he will inspect various ongoing construction projects.
The administration has completed all preparations regarding the proposed arrival of State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today at the Siddhapeeth Shri Shakumbhari Devi shrine. On Friday, Divisional Commissioner Rupesh Kumar, DIG Abhishek Singh, DM Manish Bansal, and SSP Abhinandan Singh visited Siddhapeeth to take stock of the arrangements and issued necessary directives to the officials. A helipad has also been constructed to facilitate the Chief Minister’s helicopter landing.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to arrive at Siddhapeeth Shri Shakumbhari Devi today. Preparations on a large scale commenced immediately on Friday afternoon, as soon as officials received confirmation of his visit.
It is reported that upon reaching the temple and offering prayers to Goddess Bhagwati, the Chief Minister will review the tourism schemes currently underway in the surrounding area, as well as the development works being executed by the Setu Nigam (Bridge Corporation). In this context, the Divisional Commissioner, DIG, and District Magistrate also visited Siddhapeeth to inspect the preparations and instructed officials from the concerned departments to ensure that all arrangements remain in perfect order.
Cleanliness Drive Conducted on Roads
A temporary helipad is being constructed near Nagla Maafi village to facilitate the landing of the Chief Minister’s helicopter. A cleanliness drive is currently underway along both sides of the road stretching from Nagla Maafi to Bhuradev. Sanitation workers have been deployed to thoroughly clean the entire route, ensuring that all arrangements remain smooth and efficient during the Chief Minister’s arrival.
Development Works Worth ₹75 Crore Underway in Shakumbhari
Ravi Shankar, the Regional Tourism Officer for the Department of Tourism, stated that construction works costing approximately ₹75 crore are currently in progress in the vicinity of the Siddhapeeth shrine. Regarding these projects, 65 percent of the work on the Tourism Facilitation Center, 30 percent on the Multi-level Car Parking, 85 percent on the strengthening of the Shakumbhari Devi Pilgrimage Route, 70 percent on the Shakumbhari Gateway Complex, 25 percent on Signage Installation, and 80 percent on the Lighting System for the pilgrimage route has been completed. Additionally, the construction of the elevated bridge and approach road—spanning from Bhuradev to Siddhapeeth—being undertaken by the Setu Nigam Department is also progressing at a rapid pace.
Inspection of Under-Construction Projects
The Chief Minister will inspect the ongoing development works in the Shakumbhari region. During this visit, he will take stock of the souvenir shops, pilgrimage facilitation centers, and multi-level parking facilities currently under construction. Officials will also present a detailed briefing regarding these projects to the Chief Minister.
