    Youth stabbed to death in Delhi’s Bhajanpura; police searching for suspects

    New Delhi: An 18-year-old man was stabbed to death in the Bhajanpura area of ​​northeast Delhi on Monday and Tuesday night. Officials said efforts are underway to identify and arrest the suspects.

    The incident occurred near a temple in the area, following which the police were informed.

    According to officials, by the time the Delhi Police team arrived at the scene, the family had already taken the injured man to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital.

    Youth dies during treatment
    The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Asif, a resident of Subhash Mohalla in Bhajanpura.

    Officials said he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

    Describing the incident, Farooq, the deceased’s brother, said, “I saw some people fighting with my brother. I tried to calm them down, after which they left. Then I went to a party. About 10 minutes after arriving, I received a call that my brother had been stabbed.”

    “The family took him to the hospital, but doctors could not save him,” he said.

    Farooq also stated that the family has no information about the identity of the attackers.

    Forensic Investigation and Police Action
    Meanwhile, a forensic team arrived at the scene and collected evidence. The body has been sent to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital for a postmortem.

    Police stated that an FIR number 129/26 has been registered at the Bhajanpura police station under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, and several teams have been formed to arrest the accused soon.

    The investigation into the case is ongoing.
