YouTuber Komali Dies by Suicide Over Breakup in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A 21-year-old YouTuber, Komali from Visakhapatnam, died by suicide at her uncle’s house in Chitrapuri Colony, Manikonda, under Raidurgam Police Station limits. She allegedly took the extreme step after emotional stress following a breakup with another YouTuber, Nikhil Reddy, a year ago. Komali had reportedly attempted suicide six months prior as well.

Background and Relationship Details

Komali, a B.Sc student at Mallareddy University, made YouTube videos part-time on lifestyle, daily vlogs, and personal experiences. She had been in a relationship with Nikhil Reddy, a software professional and YouTuber from Visakhapatnam, for three years before breaking up due to differences.

Two days before her death, Komali reportedly had an argument with Nikhil over a phone call. She hanged herself with a saree while no one was at home. Her recent viral video on her Tirumala padyatra became her last post.

Police Investigation Underway

On a complaint by Komali’s family, Raidurgam police registered a case and are questioning family members, Nikhil, and other friends to investigate the reasons behind the suicide.

Other Incident in Hyderabad

In a separate incident, a 48-year-old man named Shankar, a Karnataka native working in Moosapet, was stabbed to death near Bharatnagar flyover under Sanathnagar Police Station limits. Police suspect the murder may be linked to an extramarital affair and have registered a case, shifting the body for postmortem.
