‘Yudh Nasheya Virudh’: Jalandhar Police Launches Major Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign

Jalandhar: To curb the growing gangster culture among youth and the glorification of weapons on social media, the Commissionerate Police, Jalandhar, has launched a special awareness campaign called ‘Yudh Nasheya Virudh. The campaign aims to keep youth away from crime and the wrong path.

Campaign Launched in the Presence of Senior Officers

According to a statement issued by the Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, the campaign was launched under the supervision of senior police officers in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar. Awareness messages and billboards have been put up in various areas of the city to make youth aware of the ill effects of gangster culture.

Strict Action Against the Promotion of Weapons and Gangster Culture

As part of the campaign, IPS officers and Municipal Corporation teams visited various areas to raise awareness among the people. Police officials have warned that strict legal action will be taken against those promoting weapons, violence, or gangster culture on social media.

Appeal for public cooperation

The Commissionerate Police has appealed to parents and the general public to encourage youth to pursue education, sports, and positive activities. They have also urged anyone with information related to gangster activities or illegal weapons to contact the Punjab government’s anti-gangster helpline number 97791-00200 or the police helpline number 112.
