Varanasi, April 20: The weather is changing rapidly in UP. The weather department has issued a red alert for rain in 38 districts of the state today i.e. Sunday. Winds will blow at a speed of 50-60 km. There is a possibility of hailstorm and dust storm at many places. The weather is changing due to Iranian disturbance.
Meanwhile, a storm hit Lucknow on Saturday. Due to this, hundreds of trees and electricity poles fell down. Due to this, the roads were closed. JCB and crane were called to remove the trees. Even solar plates and water tanks were blown away. Electricity supply was disrupted in many colonies. In Sambhal, a date palm caught fire due to lightning. The tree was reduced to ashes in a short while.
CM Yogi said- Crop survey should be done immediately
CM Yogi said- If farmers’ crops have been affected due to rain, hail or lightning, then a survey should be done immediately. The survey report should be sent as soon as possible, so that farmers can be compensated on time. Any kind of negligence in relief and rescue operations will not be tolerated. The public need not panic, the government is with them. Officers should go to the field and monitor the situation.
The weather has changed on Sunday after the storm and rain in Ghaziabad on Friday night. After the rain, the night temperature has dropped by 3 degrees Celsius. Due to which the weather has become pleasant. The sun has shone during the day on Sunday. However, there is a possibility of rain due to local disturbance. Today the wind speed is 14 km per hour.
In Meerut, a drop in the day temperature has been recorded after the rain late on Friday night. Till April 15, the day temperature was reaching 38°C. On Saturday, April 19, the temperature was recorded at 34°C. According to Dr. UP Shahi, meteorologist of Sardar Patel Agricultural University, there is a possibility of change in the weather in the next two days.
