Narco-smuggling module busted in Amritsar; 10 Kg heroin along with one lakh drug money recovered

In an intelligence-led operation, the Counter-Intelligence team Amritsar busted an international narco-smuggling module operated by foreign-based smuggler. As per information, the module was operated by foreign-based drug smuggler, Jassa. The information has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav through a post on X. 

 

As per information, the Police arrested India-based operatives, Gurpinder Singh and Sajan, both residents of Amritsar. Police also recovered 10 kg of heroin and ₹1 lakh in drug money. 

Jassa is wanted in multiple NDPS and Arms Act cases, an FIR is registered at PS SSOC Amritsar. Further investigation is underway to trace the forward and backward linkages.

DGP Gaurav Yadav said that the Punjab Police remains committed to dismantling drug cartels and making Punjab drug-free.
