Amritsar: On the directions of Food Safety commissioner, Dr Abhinav Trikha and DC Ghanshyam Thori Food safety team Amritsar Comprising police officials did a late evening raid in village Manawala Teh Ajnala Distt Amritsar During Raid Kuldeep Singh S/o Tarlok Singh was found making spurious Khoya by mixing of Skimmed Milk Powder and Vanaspati with the help of grinder.
At the time of raid he was having total 287 Kgms of spurious Khoya which was destroyed by the team on the spot and 105 kgms of Vanaspati and 44 kgms of Vanaspati were seized by the team which were used as adulterant in making khoya. There another person was making Khoya in village Manawala by using SMP and Vanaspati. During raid it was found 50 kg of spurious Khoya was present which was destroyed at the spot and 18 Kgs of Skimmed Milk powder and 10 kgs of Vanaspati was seized by the team which were used as adulterant in making Khoya.
Total 337 kgms of khoya was destroyed and 115 kgm of Vanaspati and 62 kgms of SMP were seized. Police caught the culprits and case has been registered.
