Amritsar: On 26th January 2024, during afternoon hours, on a specific information regarding presence of a drone, an extensive joint search operation was launched by BSF and Punjab Police on the outskirts of the Village Mode in District Amritsar.
Furthermore, during the search operation at about 15:55 pm, party successfully recovered 01 small drone alongwith 01 packet suspected to contain heroin (gross weight – approximately 519 grams). The narcotics were wrapped with yellow adhesive tape and 01 metalic ring was attched with the packet. This recovery took place in a farming field adjacent to Village Mode in District Amritsar.
The retrieved drone is a Quadcopter (Model – DJI Mavic 3 PRO, made in China).
Yet another significant recovery of a drone with narcotics by BSF, which is committed to annihilate the nefarious designs of drug cartels across the border.
