Dilbagh said – farmers will put their side in court

Giving information, Dilbagh Singh, head of Bharatiya Kisan Mazdoor Union, said that there is a hearing in the High Court today on the matter of closing the Ladowal toll plaza. Today he will send his lawyer to the High Court. Farmers will also put their side in the court regarding the reason for closing the toll plaza. Dilbagh Singh said that people are troubled by the ever-increasing prices at the toll plaza.

People are being openly looted. The National Highway Authority is continuously showing negligence. The lights of the areas under Ladowal Toll Plaza have also been taken over by private companies. The roads are broken.

26 crore tax saved

The farmers have got this toll closed since June 16. Till now, 26 crore rupees tax has been saved for the people. More than 10 lakh drivers have passed through this toll without paying tax. Due to free toll, drivers are also seen thanking the farmers at the toll plaza.

3 meetings have been held with the district administration

So far, 3 meetings have been held between the farmers and the district administration. The first meeting was held during the dharna at the toll plaza. In which the farmers had given a demand letter to the district administration regarding the closure of the toll plaza. After this, the second meeting was held with the officials after the dharna was lifted, but no NHAI official was present in this meeting. Similarly, on Tuesday, District Administration Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni held a meeting with the farmers. The farmers pointed out the shortcomings of the toll plaza.
