Tarn Taran: BSF, Punjab Police recover Drone and Heroin in joint operation

The narcotics were wrapped in yellow colour adhesive tape and 01 cotton thread improvised loop

Border Security Force in collaboration with Punjab Police recovered heroin and a drone in the border area of Tarn Taran.

On 10th July 2024, based on information shared by BSF intelligence wing regarding presence of a drone, which was neutralized by BSF in the border area of district Tarn Taran, BSF troops in collaboration with Punjab police promptly conducted an extensive search operation in the suspected area.

During the search operation, at about 11:15 am, the troops successfully recovered 01 drone along with 01 packet of suspected heroin (Gross weight- 566 grams) from village- Kalash in district Tarn Taran.

The narcotics were wrapped in yellow colour adhesive tape and 01 cotton thread improvised loop along with an illuminating stick was also found attached with the packet.

The recovered drone has been identified as a China-made DJI Mavic 3 classic. Reliable information and effective action of BSF coupled with coordinated efforts with Punjab Police made yet another seizure of illicit drone with narcotics sent from across the border.
