Sources have revealed that a high-level meeting is going to be held on July 16 under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann. Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema will also be present in it.

Preparations are being made to put a strong presentation in front of the commission. In this meeting before the commission, the state government will present a complete detail of its needs, from its withheld amount.

At present, the state has a debt of about Rs 3.50 lakh crore. Rs 23 thousand crore is being spent only on paying interest. The difference between income and expenditure is also increasing. In such a situation, a demand for fiscal guarantee on the lines of the 15th commission can also be made.

The issue of reduction in job sources will also be raised in the meeting with the commission. With the implementation of GST, all sources of income have gone to the Center.

The government is incurring losses due to this too. There is no such sector from which the government can earn income. Apart from this, Rs 6700 crore of RDF, Rs 650 crore of National Health Mission Fund, Rs 1600 crore of special capital assistance and Rs 515.55 crore of PM Shri are included.
