Ludhiana: Punjab Police have arrested 3 members of a gang who used to steal tyres by putting a jack under the cars of people who came to the city markets for shopping. Police have also recovered stolen tyres from their possession. The shopkeeper to whom the accused used to remove the tyres and sell them has also been arrested by the police.
On the instructions of Ludhiana DCP Jaskaran Singh Teja, police formed a team on the complaint of victim Satinder Mohan. It was led by ADCP Shubham Agarwal. After this, the police of Thana Division Number-8 did a blockade and arrested an accused Prince resident of Kochar Market, Ludhiana.
SHO Balwinder Kaur of Thana Division Number-8 said that the accused Prince resident of Ludhiana, who used to put a jack under the cars of people who came to the city markets for shopping, etc., used to commit the crime in just 4 to 5 minutes and take away the tyres.
SHO Balwinder Kaur of Thana Division Number-8 said that during the interrogation of the accused Prince, police arrested two other accused. These include the shopkeeper to whom Prince used to sell stolen tyres.
Police have arrested Arminder Singh, alias Bindu, and shopkeeper Tajinder Singh and sent them to jail. SHO Balwinder Kaur of Thana Division Number-8 said that six stolen tyres of different models of cars and a stolen Activa have been recovered from the accused.
