Punjab: The Ministry of Agriculture and farmers welfare department of Government of India on Saturday in his letter to fasting farmer leader and farmers front wrote that the government is ready for talks with them on 14 february next month.
In a letter available with the Savera the Ministry wrote, “this is in continuation of the previous meeting with the leaders of SKM (non-political) & Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) which was held on 15/02/2024 at Chandigarh.”
“A meeting with the Ministers of Government of India and Government of Punjab regarding the demands of the farmers unions was organized on 14.02.2025 (5 PM) at Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration Punjab (MGSIPA), Sector-26, Chandigarh. You are cordially invited to the meeting, please attend at the scheduled time.”
“We hope that Mr. Dallewal will soon end his fast, recover and join the discussion.”
Earlier today Priya Ranjan, Joint Secretary at Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, met farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who is on an indefinite fast, at Khanauri Border earlier today.
According to the reports the fasting farmer leader have also aggred to take medical aid. However the order have been critcised by several activits who said the date set for talks is very long and set the health condition of Dallewal is detorating day by day and 14.
