Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a joint credit camp for the Gorakhpur and Basti divisions as part of the Mukhya Mantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan, aimed at providing loans to young entrepreneurs and boosting entrepreneurship in the state.
In his address, CM Adityanath emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, “Inspired by PM Narendra Modi, the BJP’s double-engine government has launched a major campaign to create 10 lakh new entrepreneurs across the country. The Mukhya Mantri Yuva Udyami Yojana, which was launched on January 24, 2025, has been in effect for over a month now.”
He also shared the scheme’s progress, mentioning that 2,50,793 applications had been received so far. Of these, one lakh applications have been forwarded to banks, and loans totaling Rs 931 crore have been approved for 24,000 applicants, with Rs 400 crore already distributed to 10,500 individuals.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana praised the positive discussions in the House during the budget session, noting that the government responded well to the issues raised. He also highlighted that the session conveyed a “positive message of Maha Kumbh” to the public. On the final day of the session, CM Adityanath spoke about the recently concluded MahaKumbh Mela, criticizing the Samajwadi Party for spreading “negative propaganda” about the event. He added that despite opposition attempts to mislead the public, the faith of the people remained unshaken.
