Drug Awareness program to safeguard Youth: MoU signed between ANTF and Punjabi University

DGP Yadav said that strategic partnership under the War Against Drugs initiative will drive a structured drug awareness program to safeguard youth and communities.

In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Punjab Police has signed a landmark MoU between the Anti Narcotic Task Force Punjab, Punjabi University Patiala, and EMRC Patiala. Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav shared information about the MoU.

About the MoU between ANTF and Punjabi University Patiala and EMRC Patiala.

The Memorandum of understanding unites Punjab Police, ANTF Punjab, Punjabi University Patiala & EMRC Patiala to strengthen drug prevention efforts. As part of this 10-Hour Certificate Course will be provided to people. Under the course, engaging lectures, digital content, and interactive learning will be used to educate students and civilians.

The content provided will be bilingual. Content will be available in English and Punjabi for wider accessibility so that more and more people can be aware of the drug menace.

One major highlight of the MoU is Curriculum Integration. It means that”Anti-Drug Awareness and Prevention”will become part of school education. Keeping in mind that content reaches large masses, an approach of digitalization of content will be adopted. EMRC Patiala will be developing high-quality video-based content.

Youth will be empowered by helping students build resilience and make informed, drug-free choices. Strengthening awareness, education, and community engagement will be assured to make Punjab Drug free.
